MyWebSearch is a toolbar spyware program that runs in Internet Explorer, and is often installed with free software to make money for the developers. You will know if you have it because the toolbar says MyWebSearch on it. It hijacks both search and error pages. Ready to remove this pest? Let's get started.
Step 1: Go to your Add/Remove Programs Control Panel
Click your Start Menu and then Control Panel. Choose the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel and browse the list of programs installed on the computer for the following.

My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)

Remove any of the above entries that you see. You will most likely not see more than one or two.
Step 2: Clean the Registry
Go to your Start menu and click Run. Type in regedit and then click Ok.
Remember to backup your registry before making any edits, as removing the wrong keys can leave windows inoperable.
Delete the following key. If you see any similar keys or values delete them as well.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\MyWebSearch Email Plugin.
Step 3: Reboot Your Computer
Reboot your computer. Don't skip this step.
Step 4: Delete the Directories
Browse to your Program Files directory and delete the following directories.

MyWebSearch
Step 5: Your Done
